ORCHARD PARK, N. Daley Blind Jersey .Y. -- Bills coach Doug Marrone repeated the word "challenging" three times on Wednesday when addressing the possibility of losing yet another quarterback to injury. Thats the reality Marrone is faced with after listing interim starter Thad Lewis as being "50-50" because of bruised ribs. The injury opens the possibility of undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel or newly signed free-agent Matt Flynn starting on Sunday, when the Bills (3-5) host the unbeaten and defensively stingy Kansas City Chiefs (8-0). "Challenging, challenging, challenging is the word we use," Marrone said. "Well do whatever we can if we have to go with either Jeff or Matt and do the best job for them in putting them in a position to win for the team." With rookie starter EJ Manuel (sprained right knee) still not cleared to play, and veteran backup Kevin Kolb (concussion) out for the season, the Bills could be down to their fourth-string quarterback after Lewis was hurt in a 35-17 loss at New Orleans last weekend. Making his third consecutive start since being promoted off the practice squad, Lewis was initially injured on the first play from scrimmage, when linebacker David Hawthorne struck the quarterback with a helmet-first hit into his right ribs. Lewis fumbled the ball and had difficulty getting off the field before returning for the next series and completing the game. "Thad is truly, right now, 50-50," Marrone said, adding tests on Lewis ribs came back negative. Lewis has gone 1-2 as a starter since Manuel was hurt in a 37-24 loss at Cleveland on Oct. 3. Lewis has put up respectable numbers in Buffalo, in completing 62 of 103 passes for 652 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Manuel practiced for the first time on Wednesday, but has already been ruled out from playing. The Bills offence could be depleted further with running back C.J. Spiller limited by a sprained left ankle and leading receiver Stevie Johnson bothered by a hip injury. Tuel and Flynn split first-team reps in preparing for the possibility of facing a Chiefs defence that has yet to allow more than 17 points in a game this season, and leads the league with 36 sacks and is second with 20 takeaways. Tuel, out of Washington State, showed he wasnt ready to play at the NFL level in replacing Manuel against Cleveland. Tuel finished 8 of 20 for 80 yards, and threw an interception that was returned for a game-sealing touchdown in the final two minutes. "I learned a lot from Cleveland and I feel like Ive been getting better," Tuel said. "I had a lot of adrenalin flowing, got the nerves and all that, so I know how to handle it and prepare for it." Flynn, in his sixth NFL season, has more experience but has had difficulty holding on to a job. After spending his first four seasons as Aaron Rodgers backup in Green Bay, Flynn is on his third team in less than a year. Traded by Seattle to Oakland this off-season, Flynn lost the starting job to Terrelle Pryor before being cut by the Raiders on Oct. 7. He signed with Buffalo a week later, when the Bills were scrambling to address their lack of experienced depth at quarterback. Flynn has had little time to become familiar with the Bills offence and their receivers. The practice time Flynn enjoyed Wednesday was the most since his arrival. "I feel better about Jeff right now, because I know Jeff," Marrone said. "Thats not to say Matts not good enough. I just havent seen enough of Matt to really say its a competition, yet." Flynn understands the position hes in, while maintaining confidence in his abilities. "Im not going to let whatever happened in my past affect how I go about my business, how I go about playing the game," Flynn said. "Ive got a lot of confidence in myself. Call it stubbornness or competitiveness or whatever you want to call it, Ive always believed in what I can do." Veteran running back Fred Jackson acknowledged another switch at quarterback could be troublesome. "When you dont have consistency at a spot like that, it makes it tough," Jackson said. "But weve had guys come in here and step up and give us an opportunity to win football games. And thats all we can ask of them to do. And whoever it is this weekend, thats what well do." Quincy Promes Jersey . Nick Young scored 17 points for Los Angeles, which lost five of its last seven before trouncing the Pelicans, who beat them handily last week in New Orleans. Jodie Meeks and Xavier Henry scored 15 points apiece for the Lakers, who led by 20 points in the first half before coasting to their 12th win in their last 13 regular-season meetings with New Orleans. Now in my view, Orpik can be clearly seen leaving his feet while delivering a moderately high hit. http://www.soccernetherlandsshop.us/Karim-Rekik-Netherland-Jersey/ .com) - Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is set to return Tuesday against Nashville after sitting out the past two games because of a minor upper body injury.Winnipeg Jets 3 Anaheim Ducks 2 (Jets 22-23-5, 11-13-1 home) – The loss was the first regulation home loss of the year for the Ducks. Meanwhile, the Jets extended their winning streak to four and remain perfect under Paul Maurice. Its the Jets second four-game winning streak of the season, the other coming in mid-November. The Ducks are now 20-1-2 on home ice this season, and had a 10-game home winning streak going into the game. With a power play goal 3:59 into the first period as the Ducks jumped out to a 10-0 shot advantage. But 1:20 later, Blake Wheeler with his team leading 18th tied it on the Jets first shot on goal, with assists to Mark Scheifele and Evander Kane. Kane was back in the lineup after missing the last four with a hand injury. It was Kanes 300th NHL game. Wheeler extended his point streak to four games (2-4-6), Scheifele extended his to four (2-3-5). The goal came off the rush with Wheeler beating Jonas Hiller high glove with a quick wrist shot. At 18:36 the Jets took the lead as Andrew Ladd (11th) banged home the rebound off a Jacob Trouba shot, with Bryan Little also picking up an assist to extend his point streak to five. Shots in the first ended up 15-7 in favour of the Ducks. The only goal of the second period was a shorthanded goal by Kane, his second short-handed goal of the year and his 15th goal overall. Kane scored off the rush on a play that started in the Jets end, beating and chasing Hiller with another shot high glove side. Little picked up another assist and is 2-6-8 over the past five games. It was his 10th multi point game of the year, Kanes sixth.? Shots in the second were 11-6 Only one goal in the third with Nick Bonino scoring at 10:18 to make it a one goal game, but that is the way it ended. Shots in thee third were 16-8 Anaheim. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Jersey. At the end of the night Ondrej Pavelec had stopped 40 of 42 and the Jets had their win. In total the Ducks directed 94 shots at Pavelec who was terrific in picking up his fourth straight win in his sixth straight start. The Jets blocked 36 shots while the Ducks missed the net with another 16. A total of 15 Jets blocked at least one shot, with Toby Enstrom leading the way with five, Mark Stuart and Trouba with four each. Trouba is now 3-1-4 in the last three games. Zach Bogosian led in ice time at 25:56, as he and Enstrom did a great job shutting down Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.? Wheeler is now 3-5-8 in the last seven games, Scheifele 3-5-8 in the last seven and 7-12-19 in the last 21. Pavelec ties his season high four game win streak. The Jets penalty kill was key in the win going four for four.? “They are a very, very good team,” stated Coach Paul Maurice post-game. “They expose teams weaknesses, and not just our team. I was impressed with our willingness, our character, a big PK in the third, holding the lead late, and our goalie was a big part of all that.” The Jets were a very emotional group as the game ended, knowing they had just beaten the NHLs number one team. “This is a confidence builder,” Maurice said. “The bench was quiet early, we didnt start very good. The bench got loud when they made it 3-2, but again the penalty kill in the third was huge. Blocking shots is a must against that team.” The Jets now meet the number two team in the Pacific Division, the San Jose Sharks, a team that like the Ducks is very good at home. That game goes Thursday (TSN Jets, TSN 1290). The Jets are in a stretch of seven on 10 on the road.
