RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Hula Bowl is coming back and will be played in North Carolina in January 2018.Officials with the postseason All-Star game and state announced Friday the game will resume following the 2017 season and will be played at Carter-Finley Stadium, North Carolina States home field in Raleigh.The game was played annually in Hawaii beginning in 1946, and it was last played in 2008. Organizers say it will rotate between North Carolina and Hawaii starting in 2019.Jennifer Logan, who owns Hula Bowl LLC, says she wanted a new East Coast home for the game and decided on Raleigh because of the North Carolina Triangles strong college representation.Bowl officials say they will invite seniors, a limited number of juniors and some players from outside the United States.
