Masters champion Danny Willett says he is not fazed by any extra expectations thrown his way as the headline act at this week’s BMW PGA Championship. Justin Roses withdrawal on Thursday through injury means Willett is the only player in the worlds top 20 to feature at Wentworth, where just 11 of the worlds top 50 are in the field. Willett followed victory at Augusta with a missed cut at the Players Championship and a tied-23rd finish at last weeks Irish Open, where he took the opening-round lead but faltered over the weekend. First round tee times First round tee times for the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth The 28-year-old is looking for an improved performance on home soil in an event he will contest for the seventh year running, but is confident he will not be affected by the added pressure on him to impress. I dont think it will change it a great deal to be honest, Willett told a pre-tournament press conference on Tuesday. Obviously coming in as Masters Champion was always a pretty big accolade.It would have been nice if Rosey [Justin Rose] would have been here to deflect a little bit of that. I think the expectations are going to be quite high from a lot of other people, but Im not really fussed about what other people are expecting.Its brilliant to be back at the BMW and Wentworth. Ive been fortunate enough to have played this event quite a few years in a row now and obviously as a British player, its the flagship event that we play in.I have my own things I want to try and do this week and try to achieve, and from there, hopefully everything pans out nicely. Willett holds a significant lead in the Race to Dubai standings Obviously your year is built around majors and World Golf Championships and this one is right in behind it in terms of trying to get it scheduled in, so that you pitch up in good form, Willett added.You cant always judge when thats going to happen, but you always look to make sure youve not played too much beforehand because its a fantastic golf event.
